SOLIDS FROM THE SEPARATOR ARE GRAVITY FEED TO THE
CASCADE FILTERS. BAGS ARE DESIGNED SO THAT AS THE
FIRST BAG STARTS TO PLUG THE FLOW PASSES TO THE
SECOND BAG, BUT THE FLOW MUST PASS THROUGH THE
FIRST BAG. THIS WILL ALLOW ADDITIONAL SOLIDS TO
DROP OUT INTO THE FIRST BAG AS THE WATER PASS
THROUGH TO THE SECOND BAG, AND THEN THROUGH THE
SECOND BAG TO THE THIRD BAG. WATER THAT FILTERS
THROUGH IS DISCHARGED TO THE BACKWASH LINE TO
WASH PAD AND PUMPED BACK TO THE SEPARATOR BY THE
SUMP PUMP. THE LOW COST OF THIS TYPE BAG FILTER
ALLOWS DISPOSAL OF BAG AND SOLIDS AS ONE.

Wash water pass through the screen to remove large solids then by gravity flow to an in ground sump tank next to the
recycle system in this case under the container. As water flows to the sump tank an automatic float switch turns on the
sump pump pumping the water to the above ground separator. The bottom of the sump tank is lower than the screen
trap and the sump pump keeps the screen trap pit empty. When rain falls onto the wash pad the sump pump will
pump the rain water through the recycle system and over flow out the rain water over flow line to the storm drain,
however the recycle system can not process all of the rain so a preset timer will stop the sump pump. This process is
called the FIRST FLUSH OF RAIN WATER because material left on the pad could contaminate the rain water. The sump
pump is now off and the rain water is filling the screen trap pit. At the top of the pit is an over flow line to the storm drain
allowing the rain to flow to the storm drain. This process is controlled by a level switch in the recycle tank, as the water
level rises in the recycle tank and before water flows out the rain over flow line the level switch starts a timer at the end
of the time cycle the sump pump is turned off allowing the rain to over flow the screen trap.
